Gold in India- Why We Still Care

Okay, now that I’ve said that formally, let me talk to you like I would at lunch.

Someone always asks me, “Do people still buy gold the same way in India?”

And honestly, no. The emotion is the same. The mindset isn’t.

Earlier, gold was bought because it was expected. Stored. Locked. Saved for weddings.
Now, I see women walking in saying, “I want something I’ll actually wear.”
That one sentence tells me everything has changed.

Gold in India has always been security and sentiment. But now it’s also self-expression.
Women are choosing pieces that move with their lives — work, travel, dinners, celebrations.

I love this shift. Because gold should live with you, not sleep in a locker.
