Our Story
Our Heritage
Raised in Jaipur, I was surrounded by the colours, domes, jaalis, floral motif stone inlays, calligraphy, the majesty of Mughal palaces and the vibrant craft legacy of Rajasthan. These influences are not just aesthetic inspirations - they are threads woven into every design.
My training is self-taught, but rich in lessons from the karigars (artisans) whose hands bring these designs to life. In 2024, I launched GoldSutra: a brand rooted in tradition, yet shaped for the present.
Craft Preservation
Kundan jewellery, polki, jadau, meenakari enamel - these crafts are the soul of GoldSutra. Each requires patience, precision, artistry.
I work with natural, hand-carved gemstones; gold and silver; traditional artisans who carry skills handed down through generations.
My aim: take the grandeur of Mughal inspired jewellery, and make it wearable, elegant, modern. Pieces that can move from day to evening, across generations, that feel personal yet regal.
My Inspiration
Mughal art taught me about geometry, gardens, symmetry, vegetal and floral patterns, birds, animals, and the balance of ornateness with restraint.
Iām inspired by the Hawa Mahalās jaalis, the Pietra Dura mosaics, enamelāwork, rosewater sprinklers, the elegance of domes and arches, and the musical rhythms that accompany traditional festivals of Jaipur.
From Jaipurās palaces to its folk music and festivals, from Mughal miniatures to the old jewellery in bazaars - all feed into my imagination and design DNA.
